Classes at NSD

Ballet

Ballet is the foundation of dance, developing strong technique, posture, balance, flexibility and musicality. A beautiful style that builds confidence, discipline and graceful movement.

Tap

Tap is a fun and energetic style where dancers create rhythms and sounds with their feet. It develops musicality, coordination and performance skills.

Modern

Modern dance encourages freedom of movement, expression and creativity. Dancers develop strength, flexibility and control while exploring dynamic choreography and a wide range of movement styles.

Acro

Acro combines dance and acrobatic skills to create exciting and dynamic movement. Dancers develop strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and confidence in a fun supportive environment.

Contemporary

Contemporary is a fluid and expressive style combining elements of modern and classical dance. Dancers explore emotion, musicality and creative movement while developing strength, flexibility and technique.

Commercial Street

Commercial Street is an energetic and upbeat style with inspiration from pop performances and hip hop. The classes focus on choreography, musicality, confidence and performance, with plenty of attitude and fun.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre brings together dance, acting and singing to create exciting performance experiences. Dancers develop confidence, characterisation and stage presence while learning choreography inspired by popular musicals.

Jazz/Commercial

Jazz/Commercial is an energetic and versatile class combining strong technique with expressive dynamic movement. Dancers develop flexibility, coordination, musicality and performance skills through fun engaging choreography with plenty of sass and charisma.

Adult Classes

Our Adult classes are a place for everyone, whether you're a complete beginner or have danced your whole life we have something for you. We offer a range of styles as we believe you shouldn't have to stop dancing just because you grew up.

Private sessions are available from enquiry, they can be used to improve technique, increased 1:1 time to prepare for an exam, gain more confidence or to have a class that works for you and your desires. If you would like to enquire about private classes please email norwich.dance@gmail.com
